Giant Loop riders: Adventure Spec Tours Sahara Desert on KTM 690s

From our distributor in the United Kingdom, Adventure Spec:

3x KTM 690's in Morocco (1 Coyote Saddlebag, 1 Great Basin Saddlebag, 1 MoJavi Saddlebag with Fandango Tank Bag). All colour coordinated with Barkbusters (nice!). There's a bit of a post on our website front page:

"Adventure-Spec’s Dave Lomax is back on the road again, en route to some serious off-road action of a Sahara Desert style!

His band of merry riders comprises some familiar faces to fans of the ‘Salt and Gold‘ and ‘Aim For The Horizon‘ DVD’s.

Brian Vacher, the tall handsome one (apparently) from ‘Salt and Gold‘, will be joining the party for the first week of desert exploration. The team are riding a composite route made up of Dave’s favourite sections from his numerous previous trips.

Rob Mason who previously featured in ‘Aim For The Horizon‘ joins the gnarled desert rats on his first brush with desert destiny. His Tallylight TV film crew are tagging along in the Landrover to witness the highs and lows of Rob’s experience and the expedition in general. Production of a DIY Morocco Desert Tour DVD will start as soon as they get back, if they make it!

The final member of the Adventure-Spec team is flat cap wearing, straight talking Yorkshire man Nick Smith, piloting the trusty Landrover. Nick continues his role from Salt and Gold as ‘logistics and catering manager’. As ever it must be stressed, the Landrover only takes part to haul the film crew and equipment, its not needed and they’d rather not have it, but without it we’d have nothing to show you, our customers. An added bonus is Nick’s alchemic ability to turn seemingly hopeless ingredients into culinary gold, armed with only a pressure cooker and an MSR Whisperlite stove.

We’re expecting a couple of ’special guests’ to appear throughout the trip, including a rendesvous with Patsy Quick and the whole gang from Desert Rose Adventure Riding Academy. The Academy has provided KTM 690 Enduro’s to Adventure-Spec and will be taking care of the training duties for Rob’s first encounter with the fearsome Dunes of Merzouga."

good luck guys!
