涂集中
1943年出生于四川省合川县（现重庆市合川市）一个山区农户。
1956年小学毕业后回乡务农。
1958年被保送到合川师范学校学习。
1959年9月到一乡村小学任教师。
1965年9月，入伍到8023部队防护部防化营，驻守我国的核武器试验场区——新疆罗布泊地区，负责核爆炸后的核辐射侦察、污染洗消、空气质量监测等任务。
1966年先后三次参加核试验，其中包括震惊中外的导弹核武器试验和氢弹原理性试验。后在“火线入党”活动中被吸收为预备党员。
1967年初担任副班长。
1967年参加首次氢弹试验，立三等功。
1968年任班长。
1970年被破格任命为司务长，两月后任机关食堂管理员。
1973年任连队副指导员，1976年任指导员。
1979年任防护部机关秘书。
1981年任基地政治部组织处副处长。
1983年任基地政治部秘书处处长。
1984年任安全防护站政治委员。
1986年到基地技术部政治部任副主任。1988年任主任。
1990年离开基地到四川绵阳89935部队副主任、主任。
1999年退休。
Tu Jizhong
・In 1943, Tu Jizhong was born into a farmer’s family in a mountainous region of Hechuan County in Sichuan Province (now Hechuan City of Chongqing).
・In 1956, he returned to his village for farm work after graduating from primary school.
・In 1958, Tu was recommended to admit to Hechuan Normal School.
・In September, 1959, he was assigned to teach in a village school.
・In September 1965, he joined the army and was assigned to the nuclear-safety 8023 battalion, stationed at Luobubo region in Xinjinag Province, a nuclear weapons testing zone. He was in charge of radiation reconnaissance, contamination clearance and air quality monitoring.
・In the 8023 battalion, he participated in three nuclear tests that sparked worldwide shocking including nuclear missile test and hydrogen bomb principles test. He was enrolled into the Communist Party as a probationary party member through “joining the party in battle field” activities.
・Early in 1967, Tu was appointed Deputy Squad Leader.
・In 1967, Tu participated in the first hydrogen bomb test and was granted third- class merit from the army.
・In 1968, Tu was appointed Squad Leader.
・In 1970, Tu was exceptionally appointed Supply Chief. Two months later, he was promoted to become Canteen Administrator.
・In 1973, he became Deputy Political Instructor and was promoted to Political Instructor in 1976.
・In 1979, Tu was appointed Secretary for the Physical Protection Branch.
・In 1981, Tu was appointed Deputy Director for the Organization Department in the Political Branch of the Test Base.
・In 1983, Tu became the Director of Secretariat at the Political Department of the Test Base.
・In 1984, Tu took the post as Political Commissar at the Safety and Protection Station.
・In 1986, Tu was appointed Deputy Director of the Political Department in Technology Branch of the Test Base, and was promoted as Director in 1988.
・In 1990, Tu left the Test Base and transferred to the 89935 Army stationed in Miangyang of Sichuan Province. He took up the posts of Deputy Director and Director of the 89935 Army.
・Tu retired in 1999.
